Tuesday Lenten Luncheons

Each luncheon begins at 11:30AM with a time of fellowship. A light lunch will be followed by an inspiring message. We will conclude each gathering in time for those who work to return to their respective places of employment by 1:00 PM. For additional information please call 662.323.4657 or email.

February 12th

Featuring the Reverend Raiford P. Wallace as our guest speaker. Rev. Wallace and his wife, Gatha, served Aldersgate in the mid 1970's through the mid 1980's. Prior to retiring to the Baldwyn area Rev. Wallace served as the District Superintendent of the Starkville District United Methodist Church.

February 19th

The Reverend Jim Ormon will be our featured speaker. Rev. Ormon and his wife, Chellie, reside in Starkville. Prior to retiring here Rev. Ormon served churches throughout Mississippi including serving as District Superintendent of the Seashore District United Methodist Church.

February 26th

The Reverend Bob Rambo, who is the present District Superintendent of the Starkville District United Methodist Church, will speak. Rev. Rambo and his wife, Susie, are native to West Point. Prior to their present appointment the Rambos served Starkville First UMC for five years in the late 1980's and early 1990's.

March 4th

The Reverend Bryan Carrubba will bring our Lenten message. Reverend Carrubba is a native of the Artesia community. He responded to the ministry while he and his wife, DeeAnna, were members of the Starkville Aldersgate UMC. Reverend Carrubba presently serves as Pastor of the Ackerman First Charge in Choctaw County.

March 11th

The Reverend Ron Barham, Executive Director Wood Institute, Mathiston, MS will bring a special Lenten message. Reverend Barham and his wife, Carrol, are deeply committed to rural and small church ministry which is one of the primary outreach efforts of Wood Institute. Wood is also home to the Mississippi Chapter of the Society of St. Andrew, a gleaning ministry that supplies millions of pounds of food to the working poor throughout the United States.

March 18th

Reverend Bob Whiteside will bring our message. Rev. Whiteside and his wife, Salley, pastored Starkville First United Methodist Church prior to being appointed as District Superintendent of the Seashore District. Bob and Susie are presently retired and live in the Starkville area.
